Ground Improvement

Ground Improvement is a collective term for describing the methods for treating the upper stratum of poor ground, be it natural or fill material, to enable construction of ground bearing slabs and high level lightly reinforced foundations. Whereas with ground improvement we seek to improve the ground, piling bypasses this poor ground meaning that suspended slabs are required in lieu of ground bearing solutions and as such are generally more expensive to construct. Ground improvement can offer realistic alternatives to piling based on the site conditions and end user requirements.
